TOMÁS MAYER-WOLF

Operations Manager

Tomás Mayer-Wolf graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of the Arts, where he earned a degree in Music Composition. Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Tomás is the founder of the vocal ensemble Voxpop, which he managed and musically directed for three years. Since its inception, Voxpop has performed all over South America and in some of Buenos Aires's most prestigious venues, and has appeared on radio (103.1, El Exprimidor) and television (Telefe, Canal 7). When Tomás left the group to study in the United States, Voxpop continued to perform and is still considered one of the best contemporary vocal groups in Argentina.

Tomás has been vocal coach and arranger for a long list of artists and bands, and was the vocal coach and music director for the Disney Channel's launch in Argentina, and, later, for Disney's “100 Years of Magic” production in Buenos Aires. He has also cultivated a relationship with the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he has been music director and conductor for prestigious theatre companies.

As a composer, Tomás has written for numerous ensembles in Buenos Aires, Philadelphia and New York, and for esteemed artists such as Lidia Kaminska (accordion) and Reggie Pindell (vocals).

Tomás is the co-founder of The Playing Grounds, an intensive performing arts workshop for teenagers in Buenos Aires in which students learn that they can grow as artists and become important members of the community through the development of their acting, movement, and music skills.

After working for a short time at IMG Artists in New York City, Tomás decided to explore different areas in the arts management field, and in July of 2008 he joined the 21C Media Group team.
